The Klaviyo integration is currently labeled Coming soon on the Settings page. Connect plumbing exists but the full push-to-Klaviyo flow hasn’t shipped yet — you won’t see Push to Klaviyo controls in the email editor until the feature lands.
Once shipped, connecting Klaviyo will let you push email sequences and one-off emails from UPBEAT OS directly into your Klaviyo account as broadcast drafts. Beat writes the copy; you review and send from Klaviyo. The KPI strip on the Email page will also pull your open rate, click rate, and subscriber count from Klaviyo.

What this integration enables

Once connected:
  • Email sequences you build in UPBEAT OS can be pushed to Klaviyo as broadcast drafts — one draft per sequence step
  • One-off emails can be pushed to Klaviyo as a broadcast draft
  • KPI metrics (open rate, click rate, subscriber count) appear on the Email page at /app/email
  • Beat’s email recommendations take your Klaviyo performance data into account
UPBEAT OS pushes drafts to Klaviyo — it does not configure Klaviyo flows or automation. You’ll set up the flow logic, triggers, and sending schedule in Klaviyo after receiving the drafts.

Prerequisites

  • An active Klaviyo account
  • A Klaviyo Private API key with the following permissions: Accounts (read), Campaigns (read/write), Lists (read)

How to connect

1

Get your Klaviyo API key

In Klaviyo, go to Account → Settings → API Keys and click Create Private API Key. Name it “UPBEAT OS” and set the permissions: Accounts (read), Campaigns (full access), Lists (read). Copy the key — you’ll only see it once.
2

Open Settings and scroll to **Integrations**

Navigate to /app/settings in UPBEAT OS.
3

Find the Klaviyo card

Scroll to the Klaviyo section and click Connect.
4

Enter your API key

Paste your Klaviyo Private API key into the field and click Connect.
5

Confirm the connection

The Klaviyo card should show a green Connected status with your Klaviyo account name.

What you’ll see once connected

  • A Push to Klaviyo button appears on email sequences and individual emails
  • The KPI strip on /app/email shows your open rate, click rate, and subscriber count (updated daily)
  • When you push a sequence, one broadcast draft per step appears in Klaviyo under Campaigns → Drafts

How to disconnect

Open Settings and scroll to Integrations, find the Klaviyo card, and click Disconnect. The Push to Klaviyo option will disappear from the email editor. Previously pushed drafts remain in your Klaviyo account.

Troubleshooting

“Invalid API key” error: Double-check that you copied the full key from Klaviyo. Make sure you used a Private API key (not Public). Also confirm the key has Campaigns (full access) permission — read-only isn’t sufficient to create drafts. KPI data isn’t showing: After connecting, KPI data takes up to 24 hours to appear. If it’s still empty after 24 hours, disconnect and reconnect Klaviyo. Drafts aren’t appearing in Klaviyo after pushing: Check Campaigns → Drafts in Klaviyo (not Campaigns → Sent). Drafts won’t appear under active campaigns. If they’re not in Drafts either, check that your API key has Campaigns write access.
