The Content Planner at /app/content is where you manage everything from first draft to published. It offers three lenses on the same content: a Kanban pipeline, a calendar, and a list view. Switch between them using the view toggle at the top of the page.

The three lenses

LensBest for
PipelineSeeing your content by stage, spotting what’s stuck, moving pieces forward
CalendarPlanning your schedule, visualizing publish density, dragging to reschedule
ListFiltering, sorting, searching, and managing your full content library

Pipeline stages

The Pipeline lens shows your content organized into four columns:
  1. Drafting — Content being generated or actively worked on. Auto-drafted content also lands here first.
  2. Needs Review — Content you’ve finished writing and want to review before approving.
  3. Approved — Content that’s been reviewed and is ready to publish when the time is right.
  4. Published — Content that’s live.

Moving content through stages

Drag in Pipeline view: Grab any card and drag it to a different column. The stage updates immediately. Status picker: Open any content item and use the status dropdown to change its stage. This works across all three lenses. Moving content to Approved doesn’t publish it — it just marks it as ready. Publishing is a separate step you initiate from the article editor or the Publishing section.

Calendar lens

The Calendar lens shows your content plotted against the days you’ve scheduled them to publish. Use it to:
  • Spot over-scheduling: If you have 4 posts on one day and nothing for two weeks, the calendar makes that obvious
  • Drag to reschedule: Grab a content card and drag it to a different day to change its scheduled date
  • See publish slots: Beat highlights recommended publish days based on your audience and past performance
The calendar shows your cadence target as a baseline. Aim to fill at least that many slots per week. If you’re consistently falling short, lower your cadence in Brand Beat rather than leaving the calendar empty — Beat calibrates recommendations to your actual target.

List lens

The List lens is your full content library with filtering and sorting. Use it to:
  • Find a specific piece by title or keyword
  • Filter by format (articles, emails, social posts, lead magnets)
  • Filter by status (Drafting, Needs Review, Approved, Published)
  • Filter by date range
  • Sort by created date, updated date, or scheduled date

Cadence bar

The cadence bar (visible in Pipeline and Calendar views) shows how many pieces of content are scheduled per week against your target cadence from Brand Beat. If you’re on track, it shows green. If you’re falling behind, it shows amber. Use the cadence bar as a quick weekly check: if it’s amber, head to Content Studio and create or approve a few pieces to get back on track.

Best publish slots

Beat shows recommended publish times on the Calendar lens based on:
  • Your audience’s engagement patterns (if GA4 is connected)
  • Platform-specific best practices for your active channels
  • Your current publishing cadence
These are suggestions, not requirements. Publish when it works for you — but if you’re unsure when to schedule something, Beat’s recommendations are a reliable default.

Filtering by format, status, or date range

In the List lens, the filter bar at the top lets you narrow your view:
  • Format — Show only articles, only emails, only social posts, etc.
  • Status — Show only content in a specific stage
  • Date range — Show content scheduled or created within a specific window
Filters combine: you can filter to “Approved articles scheduled this week” in a few clicks.
