Brand Beat is your complete brand profile — the foundational layer that every Beat output is built on. When Beat writes content, generates a strategy, or makes recommendations, it’s drawing from what’s in your Brand Beat.

What Brand Beat powers

Brand Beat isn’t just a profile you fill in once. It’s a living document that continuously informs:
  • Strategy — Beat’s Recommended Moves and Growth Flywheel pull from your pillars, goals, and competitive context
  • Content — Every article, email, and social post is written to your audience, in your voice, around your pillars
  • SEO — Topic clusters and keyword opportunities are organized around your content pillars
  • Performance — Beat interprets GA4 and GSC data through the lens of your brand goals
An incomplete Brand Beat leads to generic recommendations. A well-maintained Brand Beat makes Beat’s output feel like you wrote it yourself.

The six tabs

Tabs appear in this order on the Brand page:
TabWhat it contains
OverviewCompletion score, brand summary, version history button, regenerate action
Identity & VoiceBrand name, tagline, positioning statement, value proposition, voice descriptors, tone guidelines, banned phrases
VisualLogo, brand colors, fonts, visual direction
Pillars & ContentContent pillars (3–5), content formats, publishing frequency, editorial guidelines
AudienceICP definition, demographics, psychographics, pain points, goals, buying triggers
TrainingWriting samples tagged by content type and weighted by how well they match your voice

Completion score

The completion score (shown on the Overview tab) is a 0–100 measure of how complete your Brand Beat is. A higher score means Beat has more signal to work with. Score ranges:
  • 0–40 — Brand Beat is missing key sections. Beat’s output will be generic.
  • 41–70 — Core profile is in place but some sections need attention. Beat works reasonably well.
  • 71–100 — Brand Beat is well-developed. Beat produces targeted, on-brand output.
To improve your score: complete any fields flagged as empty or thin, and add at least two training samples in the Training tab.

How to edit Brand Beat

You can edit any field in Brand Beat at any time using three methods:
  1. Click-to-edit — Click directly on any field in Brand Beat to edit it inline. Changes save automatically.
  2. Text selection popup — Highlight any text in a Brand Beat field and use the Beat popup (Sharpen / Simplify / Rewrite / Fix tone) to refine it.
  3. Beat chat — Ask Beat to rewrite a section in chat. Beat will return a proposed change card you can Apply or Dismiss.
Manual edits save immediately but do not create a new version in your version history. Only full regenerations create new versions.

Version history

Every time you regenerate your Brand Beat, a snapshot of the previous version is saved automatically. You can view, compare, and restore previous versions from the Overview tab. If you’re considering a major brand pivot, regenerate rather than manually editing — this gives you a restore point if you want to go back.
