# Slack

> Connect Slack to receive daily digests and Beat notifications.

Connecting Slack brings UPBEAT OS activity into your workspace. Beat sends daily performance digests, notifies you when Autopilot generates new drafts, and pings you when content-related actions need your attention — all in a channel of your choosing.

## What this integration enables

Once connected, you'll receive Slack notifications for:

* **Daily digest** — A morning summary of your content activity, upcoming scheduled posts, and any strategy highlights
* **Autopilot drafts** — A notification whenever Beat Autopilot generates a new draft, with the article title and a link to review it
* **Content alerts** — Notifications when something in your content pipeline needs attention (e.g., scheduled posts with issues, drafts that have been sitting for a while)

You stay in UPBEAT OS for all the actual work — Slack is where you get the heads-up.

## Prerequisites

* A Slack workspace where you have permission to add apps (you don't need to be an admin, but some workspaces restrict app installs to admins only)
* A channel where you want Beat to post (a private channel like `#beat-updates` works great)

## How to connect

    Scroll to the Slack section and click **Connect**.

    You'll be redirected to Slack's OAuth screen. Select the workspace you want to connect (if you're in multiple workspaces), review the requested permissions, and click **Allow**.

  <Step title="Select a channel">
    After authorizing, choose the Slack channel where Beat should post notifications. You can select any channel you're a member of.

  <Step title="Confirm the connection">
    You'll be returned to the Integrations page. The Slack card should show a green **Connected** status with your workspace name and selected channel.

## What you'll see once connected

* A confirmation message appears in your selected Slack channel shortly after connecting
* Daily digests arrive on weekday mornings with your content summary
* Autopilot draft notifications land in the channel as soon as Beat finishes generating a draft
* Each notification includes a direct link back to the relevant page in UPBEAT OS

## Configuring notification preferences

Go to Settings → Notifications to control which types of Slack notifications you receive and at what frequency. You can disable specific notification types without disconnecting Slack entirely.

## How to disconnect

Open Settings and scroll to **Integrations**, find the Slack card, and click **Disconnect**. Notifications will stop immediately. Your Slack workspace is unaffected — UPBEAT OS is just removed as an app.

## Troubleshooting

**Beat isn't posting in my channel:** Make sure Beat has been added to the channel. In Slack, open the channel, click the channel name, go to Integrations → Apps, and confirm UPBEAT OS is listed. If not, add it.

**I'm not getting daily digests:** Check Settings → Notifications to confirm digests are enabled. Digests are sent on weekdays only — there are no weekend digests.

**Notifications are going to the wrong channel:** Disconnect and reconnect Slack to select a different channel.
